Program
It’s nearly impossible to think back on the World War II without recalling Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters. War bond drives, USO programs, films, commercial and AFRS radio programs, V-Disc and commercial phonograph recordings, canteen performances…the ladies and “Der Bingle” were everywhere; and very often they performed together. So how can we resist? Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters show up, of course, throughout this year’s festival, but for our closing performance, Jesse and company back all six of our Andrews Sister pros and our 2 Bing guys for a tribute that will be impossible to forget! Look for their great hits together from this period, for a handful of not-to-be-overlooked hits they did on their own, and a few others that might surprise you!
